Dinner.

After a GREAT trip to Utah to visit family, we arrived home on Monday. Our flight was at 10 am, Utah time, so we each downed a bowl of cold cereal around 8am before heading to SLC for our flight. We grabbed a couple snacks at the airport, but when we arrived in Baltimore at 4:30pm, we were pretty starving. A friend picked us up from the airport, and then we picked up our car from Jon's work on the way home. By the time we entered our front door, it was after 6pm, and we were even hungrier. Of course, we didn't have any food in the house, and with our (my) new resolution to trim down the baby fat, we decided to head to the grocery store so we could have a "real dinner" (as opposed to head to the local Wendy's for a...fake dinner?). We got home from the grocery store sometime after 7pm (at this point, on the verge of famished) and I made a beautiful pasta dish, with onions, zuchini, mushrooms, tomatoes, fresh basil and a light cream cheese sauce. At 8pm when it was done, it smelled so good I could almost taste it. Jon had set the table, and we were ready to eat! I carried the bowl of pasta across the kitchen, and was inches from the table when I felt the bowl slipping and suddenly the pasta was all over the floor (that had been collecting dust for two weeks while we were out of town). It wasn't even in a pile where you can scoop up what's on top and call it clean. To add insult to injury (or...injury to insult?) some of it fell on my flip-flop clad foot and burned my toes. The whole thing was devastating. After I stuck my burning toes in the sink under cold water, Jon made a Chick-Fil-A run, and brought me a chocolate shake as a consolation. So much for trimming down the baby fat. At least it wasn't Wendy's.

You'll trim down that baby fat though for sure.
