pull ourselves upward, inch by inch 
until we were almost there
and then experience the sweetness of success,
only to fall back to where we started, after just a moment?
Would we pick ourselves up and try again?

Yeah, good girl. Oh, by the way, did you put up that gate? I'm eating my words here, but Jacob fell down the stairs at Jon's parents house yesterday. ALL OF THE STAIRS. Luckily they were carpeted, but i think watching the horror just one step to far to reach him all the way down was the saddest part for me. He was fine, after a minute of crying. Poor kid. And.. your patio furniture is lovely. Did you do it during nap time. I get a headache just thinking about taking on a project where paint..or anything really is involved. My little monsters would love helping me a little too much. =)
